WattCycle will pay for the cost of return shipping if the reason for the return was the result of our error.

We shipped out the wrong item.

We shipped it to the wrong address.

We shipped a duplicate order.

Item malfunctioned during the 30 day returns period. (The customer should install and operate the item properly per the product manual instruction.)

For example, a new battery performs better than a used one, as its capacity slightly decreases with repeated charge cycles. However, you can estimate runtime using a simple formula based on power consumption and battery capacity:

Runtime (hours) = Battery Capacity (Wh) / Total Device Power Consumption (W)

Example:
If you have a 12V 200Ah battery and connect a 50W lamp and a 50W speaker, the runtime will be:

Is it better to have two 100Ah batteries or one 200Ah battery?

Our 12V 200Ah LiFePO4 batteries have a maximum charging current of 200A. However, we typically recommend charging them at 0.2C (40A) for optimal balance of speed, safety, and longevity.

How many solar panels do I need to charge 12V 200Ah battery?

To charge a 12V 200Ah battery from 100% depth of drain in 9 peak sun hours, approximately ≥400 watts of solar panels and an MPPT charge controller are required.

Can I connect 12V 100Ah and 12V 200Ah batteries in parallel for a 12V system?

Not recommended. There are four rules for connecting WattCycle batteries in series or parallel:

How to store LiFePO4 batteries?

1. Recommended Storage Conditions

  • To achieve optimal storage results, LiFePO4 batteries should be kept in a cool, dry place.
  • Ideal Storage Temperature: 15°C – 25°C.
    Humidity: Keep humidity as low as possible to avoid moisture buildup.

2. Recommended Charge Level During Storage
LiFePO4 batteries should be stored at a partial state of charge (SOC) between 50% and 80%.

Why Avoid Full Charge/Discharge?

  • Storing the battery fully charged or fully discharged can stress the cells and lead to gradual capacity loss over time.
  • A partial charge helps preserve battery health during storage.

Additional Tips:

  • Check Periodically: If storing for extended periods (>3 months), check the SOC every 3–6 months and recharge to 50–80% if needed.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Never store in freezing (<0°C) or excessively hot (>60°C) environments.
Can lithium batteries be charged below freezing temperatures?

No! It is critical that all WattCycle LiFePO4 batteries are not charged when temperatures are below freezing. Charging a lithium-ion battery at an internal temperature below -4°C can cause long-term or permanent damage.

WattCycle’s low-temperature protection:

  • Automatic Cutoff: All WattCycle batteries include a low-temperature cutoff feature that halts charging when the battery’s temperature is between -5°C and 5°C.
  • Automatic Resume: When the temperature rises to between 5℃ - 15℃, the battery will automatically resume charging.
Can you leave a battery charger connected to the battery?

WattCycle recommends disconnecting the charger from the battery or unplugging the charger from the power outlet once the battery is fully charged.

Why This Matters:

  • Overcharge Protection Trigger: Even with the Battery Management System (BMS) safeguards, leaving the charger connected indefinitely may cause the BMS to repeatedly activate overcharge protection. Frequent triggering of BMS protections can stress the system over time, leading to degraded performance or permanent damage.
  • Battery Longevity: Prolonged charging at 100% SOC (State of Charge) can accelerate cell aging. Disconnecting the charger helps maintain optimal battery health and extends its lifespan.

We purchased a 400 volt battery a couple weeks before we got this one and then found out we need at least 600 volts. The first battery is great so we bought this battery from the seller. Prefect! The battery's voltage is exactly 13.18V and its capacity is 205.6Ah, so it does exceed. This battery has done this 200A Test with no problem. When max. amperage test is 353A, the battery is nice and cool, and there are no hot spots at all.
