Customer Review of the WattCycle 12V 280Ah Mini LiFePO4 Batteries with Bluetooth for Camper/RV

Bart C., a loyal customer from the Netherlands, had been searching for the ideal battery solution for his RV — a Carthago Chic C-line 6.2 XL QB — since late October 2024. While he acknowledged the strong market preference for S.B. batteries in the Netherlands, their premium pricing—over four times the cost of WattCycle's comparable offerings—gave him pause. Though initially hesitant, Bart ultimately chose WattCycle — a decision he now proudly stands by!
After extensive research and countless hours of watching YouTube videos (mostly from American users, as there aren’t many European videos available on this product yet), I decided to purchase the WattCycle 12V 280Ah Mini LiFePO4 Batteries with Bluetooth for my camper. What particularly attracted me was the compact size of the batteries in relation to the capacity, which fit perfectly in the limited space available in my camper.
After much deliberation and direct communication with the manufacturer, I was convinced this was the right choice for my off-grid energy needs.
First Impressions and Installation
Reaching out to WattCycle via their chat function was a great decision. The customer service was incredibly fast and helpful. I asked detailed questions about the battery dimensions, safety and quality certifications, and the orientation in which the batteries could be installed. The confirmation that they, for example, had the CE certification ( Conformité Européene) gave me a lot of confidence in the product's quality. This was a crucial factor for me, as I prefer to use products that meet the high European standards.

The installation of the batteries in my camper was straightforward. The WattCycle batteries fit perfectly in the designated space, and the process of connecting all the components was easy to handle. However, determining the appropriate wire thickness and fuse sizes for the installation turned out to be a more time-consuming task. Since this will be different for every installation, I’ll leave this out of this review.
Placing the order was smooth, and I was even offered a small discount in exchange for sending photos of my installation, which I thought was a nice and fair gesture. Delivery was incredibly fast – within a week, I had the batteries in hand. The packaging was excellent, as the boxes were quite damaged during transport, but the batteries themselves were in perfect condition with no scratches.

Performance and User Experience
Upon receiving the batteries, I immediately tested them. The voltage was correct, and connecting them to the WattCycle Bluetooth app was seamless. Everything worked as expected. For the installation, I chose to pair the batteries with a Victron system, as I have a lot of trust in the reliability and performance of this brand. I’m using the Multiplus II 3000 as the main charger/inverter, and the Victron MPPT 100/30 to efficiently charge the batteries with my 350W solar panel. Additionally, the charging from the alternator is managed by the Victron Orion XS DC-DC charger (50Ah). All devices are controlled through a Victron Cerbo GX. A Victron smartshunt is also used to manage and control DC loads.

The system has been running smoothly without any issues, and the batteries provide the energy I need for my camper. The charge and discharge times are very good, and the voltage remains stable. I tested the over-discharge protection, and both the BMS-ES shut down at a little over 200 amps. As they should. After a few seconds, both batteries (bms-es) started up again. Great.

Bluetooth and Monitoring via the App
The Bluetooth functionality is a very practical feature of the WattCycle batteries. Through the app, I can monitor the voltage, charge percentage, and status of the batteries in real-time. It would have been nice to be able to see both my batteries at once, but that might be impossible because they are two Bluetooth devices. And it is super easy to switch between batteries in the app.
Together with the Victron system, the app gives me full control over my power system without having to physically check the batteries. The app is user-friendly and stable, which isn’t always the case with other batteries I’ve used in the past. It’s great to be able to track everything from my smartphone.
Comparison to Other Batteries
I’ve used other LiFePO4 batteries in the past, but the WattCycle 12V 280Ah Mini stands out mainly because of its compact size and user-friendly Bluetooth integration. The price point for these batteries also seems great in relation to the quality. The reliability and speed of the customer service are also significant advantages compared to other brands, where I sometimes had to wait much longer for answers.
Price-Quality Ratio
While the WattCycle 12V 280Ah Mini LiFePO4 batteries are not the cheapest on the market, they are not expensive, and they are significantly more affordable compared to many European brands offering similar products. And are close to or even have the same build quality. When considering their compact size, high capacity, excellent performance, great build quality, and the added convenience of Bluetooth monitoring, they provide great value for money. Given the quality and features, the price is very competitive, especially when compared to higher-end European options. For anyone looking for reliable and well-priced LiFePO4 batteries for their camper or off-grid setup, these batteries represent a smart investment that doesn’t break the bank.
Conclusion and Recommendation
I’m more than satisfied with the WattCycle 12V 280Ah Mini LiFePO4 Batteries. They deliver excellent performance, are compact and efficient, and the Bluetooth monitoring via the app is easy and convenient. The customer service from WattCycle was top-notch, and the delivery was fast. For anyone looking for reliable LiFePO4 batteries for their camper or other off-grid applications, I would highly recommend these batteries. They offer excellent value for money, and the combination with my Victron system makes it a perfect match for me.
